Our sUAS Principle:
Fly Safely --> Fly Respectfully --> Fly per Regulations
The MVC utilizes a small Unmanned Aerail System (sUAS), aka drone, to acquire video and photographs to assist any of Dukes County's town departments, boards, and committees with their planning efforts. The aerial flights are also conducted to assist MVC's regulatory review of DRIs (Development of Regional Impact). For more details, please see our Frequently Asked Questions.
Requesting MVC's sUAS Flight Service
Simply contact Chris Seidel at the MVC to discuss your aerial imagery project. Upon request, the MVC will provide this service to town departments, boards, and committees within Dukes County MA. The MVC may use this service as part of the DRI review process. Also, environmental non-profit conservation groups as well as regional citizen environmental protection groups in Dukes County (i.e. Friends of Sengekontacket Pond, Tisbury Great Pond Foundation, etc) may request this service. The MVC will not fly for legal firms, real estate agencies, other commercial entities, or for private individuals.
